Established in 1977, Tackett Service Dogs was founded by owner, handler and Trainer Tom Tackett. As a child Tom always had a love for dogs and training came naturally to him. Over the past 33 years Tom has helped countless dog owners learn how to properly handle their pets. Tackett Service Dogs has a reputation that has served its clients well.

Our Method

Tackett Service Dogs uses a career-proven method we call P.U.P. (Patience, Understanding, Praise). With this method you will develop patience for your dog, learn how to read your dog's body language so you can better understand your dog, and praise your pet when he is doing what you have taught him! Once you've mastered the P.U.P method, you and your dog will be able to enjoy life together.
